In May 2025, Founder of Bellbrae Clay and Artist Lauren Barton was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42. “It was a big shock, especially since I had no symptoms.”
Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females. 1 in 7 women and about 1 in 550 men expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime.
Early detection and diagnosis provide the best chance of survival.
This event ‘Boob Bowls for Breast Cancer,’ will help bring further awareness to early detention and the importance of regular health check ups for busy women, while getting creative with clay in the Bellbrae Clay studio.
